The annual Amygdala, Stress, and PTSD Conference at the Uniformed Services University brings together scientists and clinicians working towards solving the biological basis of stress, fear, and posttraumatic stress disorder.
Dr. Joshua Morganstein and Dr. James West developed a recorded training program, “Protecting the Mental Health of Communities During Disasters,” to introduce concepts of disaster psychiatry. Topics covered in this training program include disaster psychiatry basics, psychological and behavioral effects of disasters, and effective interventions to reduce adverse effects of disasters

Disaster Psychiatry Canada (DPC) hosts an annual CME training conference, “Psychiatric Dimensions of Disasters. This meeting was chaired by Joseph Zohar, Israel, Eric Vermetten, The Netherlands and Iryna Frankova, Ukraine. The meeting was dedicated to the precision psychiatry, concept of "Golden Hours", psychosocial and psychotherapeutic treatment of PTSD.
