Aliya is a Clinical Research Assistant at the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress (CSTS). She graduated from Drexel University in 2022 with a B.S. in Psychology. Throughout her time at Drexel and during the COVID-19 Pandemic, she worked as a Registered Behavior Technician where she carried out behavioral interventionf or autistic children. At Drexel, Aliya was a member of the Nezu Stress and Coping Lab where she completed her senior thesis on the stressors affecting displaced individuals and potential interventions to support them. Through her position, she hopes to advance her research skills and working knowledge of trauma-informed mental health, and Post-traumatic stress disorder. She hopes to continue her education with a PhD in Clinical Psychology.
